Part of DC's 1995 Underworld Unleashed crossover event, this one-shot finds Batman standing as a brooding, cloaked silhouette before a storm-wracked gothic building — almost certainly Arkham Asylum — while several disheveled figures lie sprawled unconscious on the ground below him, lightning splitting the sky overhead. The cover, penciled by Dave Taylor and inked by Rick Burchett, uses dramatic low-angle perspective to make the Dark Knight loom large and ominous over a scene that radiates chaos and dread.
