The eight-issue miniseries wraps up in triumphant fashion with this April 2007 finale, bearing the bold declaration "Mission Accomplished!" right on the cover. Daniel Acuña's artwork assembles the full Freedom Fighters lineup — Uncle Sam at the center with his finger pointing forward, flanked by a golden-armored figure channeling energy, a winged dark-feathered powerhouse, a red-armored woman, a masked hero in a dark cloak, a sleek black-suited figure, a blond hero with red goggles, a masked woman in black and gold, and a bald fighter at the fore — all surging ahead with unmistakable purpose. Writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray close out their run on "Liberty and Justice for All," making this a satisfying capstone to a patriotic superhero saga told entirely by the creative team of Palmiotti, Gray, and the triple-threat Acuña.
