Uncanny X-Men #8

Bearing a solemn tribute to Stan Lee (1922–2018) across its header, this 2019 installment of "Disassembled" puts a determined, braids-wearing mutant front and center, bracing against a collision of blazing blue lightning and cascading red energy amid a rubble-strewn cityscape. The sheer visual force of that power clash — crackling electricity descending from above while fiery tendrils tear through the wreckage on either side — makes it immediately clear that the X-Men are facing something on an enormous scale. Cover pencils by Giuseppe Camuncoli and inks by Roberto Poggi give the whole scene a raw, kinetic intensity that sets the stakes for Part 8 of this sprawling saga.
