Uncanny Avengers #2

History

In October 2014, Marvel announced a second volume of Uncanny Avengers, to begin in January 2015, with Rick Remender returning as writer and Daniel Acuña handling art throughout the entire five-issue run — a deliberately tight creative pairing that gave the arc a visual consistency the first volume's rotating artists could not always maintain. The series was positioned as a bridge between the aftermath of the Axis crossover event and the incoming Secret Wars line-wide restructuring, and Remender used that compressed window to push through the Magneto-parentage retcon that the Axis crossover had introduced. The volume was cancelled after issue five, in May 2015, as Marvel consolidated its publishing line ahead of Secret Wars.
