Ultimate X-Men #76

The painted cover by Ben Oliver sets a tense, fiery tone for "Cable, Part 2" — a scarred, powerfully built figure bearing blades looms over a downed Wolverine, whose adamantium claws are extended even as he takes the punishment. Robert Kirkman's four-part arc is in full swing here, and the warm amber and orange palette gives the whole confrontation an urgent, almost volcanic intensity. A strong 2007 entry in the Ultimate line that promises some serious unfinished business between these two combatants.
