Part two of the "Hellfire and Brimstone" arc finds a wide-eyed, red-haired young woman in tactical gear sprinting straight toward the viewer, pursued by a swarm of glowing, spectral figures whose luminous blue forms swirl all around her against a fiery orange sky. Adam Kubert's cover work gives the scene a real sense of desperate momentum — those ethereal pursuers feel relentless, closing in from every angle. Mark Millar and Adam Kubert were clearly building toward something intense with this 2002 storyline, and this cover sells the urgency perfectly.
