Ultimate Spider-Man #97 kicks off "Clone Saga Part 1" with a cover that says everything about the turbulence ahead — Spider-Man is caught in the grip of a menacing green, multi-limbed creature, the two figures locked in a dramatic mid-air spiral against a fiery orange background. Mark Bagley's cover art crackles with kinetic energy, the swooping composition pulling your eye around the figures in a near-perfect circle of conflict. It's a strong opening image for what promises to be one of the bigger story arcs in Brian Michael Bendis's celebrated run on this title.
