Deep in a collapsing silver mine, the Two-Gun Kid faces down a gang of armed outlaws in this tense 1959 showdown — the cover tagline "Shoot-Out in the Silver Mine!" says it all. John Severin's cover artwork crackles with urgency as the Kid warns his enemies that the mine is about to cave in, while a gunman called Blackie and his cohorts level their weapons, clearly unconvinced. It's a nail-biting standoff with the earth itself as a third player, and at just a dime it was an irresistible grab off any newsstand.
