Tweety and Sylvester #41

Nov 1974 · Western · 0.25 USD
“Jest Friends!”

In "Jest Friends!", Sylvester, convinced he's a failure after yet another missed catch, flees to the circus—only for Tweety to follow and join him in a series of increasingly chaotic performances. From aerial stunts to knife-throwing and the human cannonball, the duo's act is less about teamwork and more about Sylvester’s relentless, doomed pursuit. The story unfolds with classic slapstick flair, drawn by John Costanza and colored by the Western Publishing Production Shop, while the cover by Massimo Fecchi captures the circus chaos in bold, expressive lines.

Declaring himself a failure over his inability to catch Tweety, Sylvester runs away from home to join the circus. Tweety follows, and, together, they perform several circus acts – including aerialists, knife-throwing, and human cannonball. Each act ends up as a failed attempt on Sylvester’s part to catch Tweety.
