“Good-Bye Kiss!”

In "Good-Bye Kiss!", Pam finds herself torn between her wealthy new beau Jim and her former boyfriend Tom, a bank clerk whose modest salary couldn’t keep up with her tastes. When she wrongly suspects Tom of robbing the bank he works at, the truth unfolds in a moment of quiet heroism—Tom actually stopped a heist and is set to be rewarded. The story, drawn with crisp, expressive detail by Jay Scott Pike, captures a tender, bittersweet moment of realization and reconciliation. Vince Colletta’s cover perfectly frames the emotional tension of the scene, a 10-cent snapshot of romance and regret from 1954.
