“Heartbreak is New to Me”

In "Heartbreak is New to Me," a chance encounter at a train station sets off a poignant mystery when Lisa meets a man who loses his memory after a near-miss with a swinging carriage door. As their bond deepens, conflicting clues suggest he’s a criminal, but a second accident unlocks his forgotten past—leaving him unaware of their connection, even as Lisa still holds onto her feelings. Eric Dadswell’s expressive artwork brings the emotional tension to life, while Ángel Badía Camps delivers a striking cover that captures the story’s haunting mood.

Lisa is at the train station when a man is hit glancing blow by a swing carriage door and loses his memory. They fall in love, but find evidence that seems to indicate he robbed a bank and shot a cashier. He goes to turn himself into the police, but a second accident causes him to remember everything except what happened between the two accidents. Lisa still loves him, but he no longer recognizes her and she learns he is a famous artist.
