Trollen van Troy #13
Two small, endearingly scrappy anthropomorphic characters — one in a pink top, one in a blue checked outfit — dash through a chaotic, machinery-filled interior while dark, bat-like creatures loom ominously in the foreground, setting a wonderfully tense and adventurous tone for De oorlog van de veelvraten. Jean-Louis Mourier's cover linework brings real energy to the scene, with cluttered mechanical surroundings and a warm cathedral-like light filtering through in the background hinting at a world both whimsical and surprisingly dangerous. This 2010 installment of Trollen van Troy looks like exactly the kind of fun, action-packed fantasy-comedy that fans of Arleston and Mourier's collaboration have come to love.
