Toytown Comics #5 is an anthology featuring multiple stories of the Toytown characters. One story involves a character feeding strained carrots to a dog to make it strong enough to stand, with the dog subsequently needing a blood transfusion after an accident. Another story, "Rufus DeBree," follows Rufus after being knocked unconscious by an ice truck driven by co-hero Mac; Rufus awakens in a fantasy land where he reads about the "Knights of Old" and becomes a hero himself alongside Mac in the "Cape of Good Hope." A third story shows characters scheming about Radio Travel, Inc. stock and attempting to make money through shares, with one character named Mertie visiting Roscoe Rodent's office where plans are discussed involving lollipops and a mysterious machine.
