After a night of drinking and having sex with a pair of prostitutes, ex-priest Tom Judge finds an old necklace hidden in his apartment. After putting it on one of the prostitutes turns into a demon and tries to take the necklace from him. Tom transforms into a creature called the Rapture and kills the demon. At that point a woman named Tilly Grimes introduces herself to Tom and tells him that his life has been changed forever.
