Top 10: Beyond the Farthest Precinct #5
In "Ubiquitous Stigmata," the fifth and final issue of Top 10: Beyond the Farthest Precinct, writer Paul Di Filippo and artist Jerry Ordway deliver a chilling, emotionally charged climax as a city-wide possession by the Hell Ditch Pilgrim threatens to consume all. With the mayor and Cindercott falling to the chaos, Robyn Slinger steps forward—her Toybox holding a power no one else can wield—to offer the Pilgrim a chance at redemption. The story closes with a quiet return to normalcy, as Kemlo takes the reins and the city resumes its picnic, leaving the weight of what happened lingering in the air. Cover by Jerry Ordway.

Police beat off the attack at the ballpark, but thousands of people are possessed by the Hell Ditch Pilgrim. The Rumor explains that only Robyn Slinger can confront and cure the Pilgrim, for her Toybox is Pandora's box, and with it she can give him hope. Cindercott demands that the police rally to protect the mayor, the supreme figure of authority, but the police ignore him so as to protect the citizens at large. Robyn's intervention is successful, although the mayor and Cindercott are destroyed in the chaos. Kemlo becomes the new chief, and the adventure ends as it began, with a picnic.
