Tomahawk #5/1977
In Arizona, 1878, Jonah Hex pulls Frank Joad from a burning house, only to find himself drawn into a deadly game of deception and revenge. With Frank's twisted ambition to become a gunslinger and Wade Ransome's hidden past coming to light, the line between ally and enemy blurs. As old wounds ignite and a final duel looms, Jonah must confront the consequences of his own influence—before the gunfighter he helped create turns on him.
In "Lockbete i Canyon Pass!", the Dry Gulch Gang traps Sheriff Tane in a deadly slingshot-tree, using his identity as Johnny Thunder’s secret persona as bait. With a rope strung taut and a single shot away from ending his life, Tane uses his eyeglasses to burn through the cord—only to be flung into the river and emerge, guns blazing, as the real Johnny Thunder. The gang’s plan unravels as the outlaw legend outsmarts them once more.
In "Gäldstugans hemlighet!", Tomahawk, suspecting escaped prisoners are committing crimes, deliberately allows himself to be imprisoned in the dreaded debtors' prison. There, he discovers a secret: some inmates are sneaking out through a long passage each night to carry out their crimes under cover of darkness. With Catrell, Starke Sam, and Dan Hunter nearby, the mystery deepens as Tomahawk uncovers the truth behind the nightly escapes.
