“Wagging the Dog”

In "Wagging the Dog," Jerry and Tuffy think they've found an unlikely ally in a fearsome hound—until they discover the dog's moods shift with a single pat and a wagging tail. Harvey Eisenberg’s dynamic art brings the hilarious, tail-wagging battle to life as Tom and the mice each try to outmaneuver the other in a game of flattery and sabotage.

Jerry and Tuffy believe they've found an ally to keep Tom at bay in the form of a large mean hound dog, but they soon realize that the angry hound immediately turns nice and docile whenever a pat on the head or a kind word starts his tail wagging. The cat and mice wage a wagging-war, with Tom patting and complimenting the dog to start his tail wagging, and Jerry and Tuffy doing anything they can to stop it.
