“Of Mood Swings and Food Swings”

In "Of Mood Swings and Food Swings," Jerry and Tuffy think they've found the perfect protector in a gruff, large hound dog—only to discover his mood shifts instantly with a pat or a kind word, turning his tail into a weapon of chaos. With Tom exploiting the dog’s newfound affection through praise and pats, the mice scramble to keep the hound from going soft, launching a battle of wits and tail-wagging tactics. Harvey Eisenberg handles both the interior art and cover pencils, with inks by himself and lettering by Rome Siemon, all under the Western Publishing Production Shop’s coloring.

Jerry and Tuffy believe they've found an ally to keep Tom at bay in the form of a large mean hound dog, but they soon realize that the angry hound immediately turns nice and docile whenever a pat on the head or a kind word starts his tail wagging. The cat and mice wage a wagging-war, with Tom patting and complimenting the dog to start his tail wagging, and Jerry and Tuffy doing anything they can to stop it.
