Tom looms large and menacing over a water dish on this Harvey Eisenberg cover, claws raised as Jerry stands defiantly at the water's edge — while a second, smaller mouse gets flung into the air above. For a dime in 1955, Dell packed plenty of that familiar cat-and-mouse tension into this cheerful issue, with Eisenberg's expressive linework giving Tom's scowl just the right amount of theatrical fury.
