“Lunatoys”

Tom Carbon returns for his sixth adventure with "Lunatoys," a lunar-themed romp brought to life by the creative team of Letzer, Fritzgerald, and artist/inker Luc Cromheecke. The cover sets a wonderfully zany tone, depicting a moonlit standoff between a pair of shadowy blue figures brandishing a weapon and a small robot companion on one side, and a trio of startled, wide-eyed characters in teal jumpsuits bearing "Luna Toys" branding on the other — all rendered in Cromheecke's lively, rubber-limbed cartoon style against a deep purple alien landscape. If this issue is any indication, Tom Carbon's brand of playful sci-fi humor is in fine form in 2012.
