Timmy sets out to adopt a dog from the animal shelter—a small one, as his mother requested—but finds himself with a large, rambunctious pooch that's anything but what he bargained for. Once the pup arrives home, chaos ensues as Timmy scrambles to manage his new pet's destructive behavior and convince his family to let him keep it. His father's return promises to settle the matter once and for all.
When a young kangaroo named Jordie refuses his mother's comfort—whether in her pouch or riding her tail—his frustrated parent takes him to Dr. Koala Bear, convinced something's wrong with the boy's head. What the good doctor discovers is far simpler and stranger than anyone expected, solving the mystery that had everyone baffled.
Timmy and his companion Maxie are sent by the Fairy Queen to invite Ernie the Elf—a lonely hermit who lives alone in Buttercup Meadow—to her grand ball, but the cranky old elf wants nothing to do with socializing or people. Convinced that what Ernie really needs is to see the joy of being around others, the two friends take matters into their own hands and bring him to the celebration, where something unexpected happens that might just change his mind about being a hermit forever.
