☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis issue contains two stories. The first features Timmy the Timid Ghost attempting to scare witches at a haunted house, but his nervousness repeatedly undermines his efforts as he encounters various frightening scenarios, including skeletons and chains. The second story is a text piece titled "The Missing Cubs," in which a rabbit helps two lost bear cubs find their way back to their mother by enlisting the aid of various forest animals to solve the problem of locating the correct cave among seventy-two identical caves.
Timmy and his ghostly pals discover a delightful abandoned house and decide to make it their new home—only to find themselves caught between a kind woman eager to buy the place for her day nursery and the scheming owner Mr. Pincher, who's quick to take advantage of her savings. When the ghosts learn there's far more at stake than just their lodgings, they spring into action to help their new landlady and protect the house they've come to care for.
When Mr. Pincher arrives at a costume shop looking for spooky disguises, he's planning something sinister—but the timid ghost and his friends get wind of his scheme to scare away the house's rightful owner and claim the silver buried beneath it. Armed with witch costumes, skeleton suits, and clanking chains, Mr. Pincher sets out to haunt the place, only to find that genuine ghostly company might be more than he bargained for. Will his own tricks backfire, or will the real residents of the house have the last laugh?
