The third chapter of DC's five-issue Timber Wolf miniseries throws the Legion hero headfirst into a wild urban brawl, and the cover by Joe Phillips and Al Gordon captures it with tremendous kinetic energy — Timber Wolf and the manic, flame-maned Creeper locked together in a freefall between city skyscrapers, shards of glass exploding around them as both figures snarl with feral intensity. A smaller inset panel in the corner hints at even more chaos unfolding beyond the central clash. With the cover tagline cheekily promising "...Big Hairy Deal!" this January 1993 installment makes a strong case that two wild cards fighting above a city skyline is exactly as fun as it sounds.
