☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe issue contains two stories. "Redmask Against Tim Holt" features a confrontation between Tim Holt and the masked outlaw Redmask, whose gang has taken over a town; Tim and a judge work to stop Redmask's reign of terror. "Ghost Rider" shows Tim Holt tracking down a false Redmask impostor; the story involves Tim discovering the imposter's hiding place in an old mine shaft and dealing with a posse plot to hang the fake outlaw.
When a fifty-thousand-dollar contest pits the West's greatest lawmen against each other, Tim Holt finds himself in an impossible bind—he's been entered to compete against Redmask, a masked rival he knows all too well, since he *is* Redmask. As bandits exploit the distraction of having all the territory's top lawmen gathered in one place, Tim must navigate the contest without exposing his double identity while uncovering a sinister plot that threatens far more than just the competition.
Federal Marshal Rex Fury's strange behavior in Little Bend—refusing to enforce the law and lounging about as if he doesn't care—bewilders the townsfolk, but the truth is far more sinister: someone has been drugging his coffee. When a concerned doctor discovers the scheme and Fury learns who's behind it, he transforms into the Ghost Rider to confront Lem Morrow and his outlaw gang. But walking into Morrow's trap may have been exactly what they wanted, and the masked avenger finds himself surrounded with no way out—until a clever bit of poison turns the tables in his favor.
Deputy Sheriff Tim Holt, operating undercover as Redmask, races against time to stop a train hurtling toward dynamite rigged by outlaws—but after a desperate chase and a near-fatal plunge into Devil's Chasm, he finds himself locked in the very baggage car he's trying to save. With the Bullet Limited barreling toward the explosives and the outlaws closing in, Redmask must fight his way free and take control of the engine itself to prevent catastrophe.
