Tim Holt and his companion Chito rescue a stagecoach driver from Buffalo Canyon after a dangerous encounter involving a speeding coach and a rimrock fall. When a surveyor's report reveals that Slick Sam Devine's land includes a valuable Spanish land grant, Tim and Chito must protect the freighting company from Devine's murderous schemes. After a series of confrontations at the Greegan Freight Shipping Company, Tim discovers that a young Indian boy named Charley Hello has been kidnapped by Devine's men, leading to a final battle where Tim and Chito fight both gunmen and hostile Indians to rescue the child and defeat Devine's operation.
