Part of Marvel's 2014 Infinity crossover event, this issue assembles the Thunderbolts' roster in a moody, rain-slicked alley bathed in crimson light — the Punisher front and center with a pistol raised, flanked by Elektra in red and a symbiote-armored figure to his right, while a spike-haired red-skinned figure looms behind them and a pale, elongated-fingered presence lurks in the shadows alongside a hulking white-skinned brute. Julian Totino Tedesco's cover art gives the whole ensemble a brooding, cinematic atmosphere that feels equal parts crime thriller and super-team tension. Charles Soule and Jefte Palo bring this volatile lineup to life in what looks to be a suitably grim chapter in the series.
