Peter Cannon — Thunderbolt finds himself outnumbered and in serious trouble on Pete Morisi's cover for this 1966 Charlton issue, as the blue-and-red-clad hero squares off against a massive ape while a ring of glowering gorillas closes in around him — welcome to the Ape Arena. The cover copy promises two connected confrontations: T-Bolt meets Gore the Man-Ape, then battles in that very arena, making this a particularly action-packed package from Morisi, who handled every aspect of the book himself.
