“The Terror of El Diablo”

In "The Terror of El Diablo," a 1949 Thrilling Comics classic, Cora Sue’s new look and a splash of makeup fool even her closest friend Spunky—until she pulls a prank by posing as Cora Sue’s mysterious cousin. When Spunky discovers the truth from Mr. Lee, who confirms there’s only one cousin—her brother—he turns the tables with a playful flirtation of his own. Jack Bradbury handles both pencils and inks for the story, while Alex Schomburg delivers the striking cover art.
