Thrilling Comics #55

The main story features Doc Strange investigating the murder of Nelson, who was killed for a sword by fanatics. Van Loan, disguised, visits newspaper editor Frank Haven's office to demand an item be inserted in the paper, then travels to Nelson's place to locate where the body has been hidden. Doc Strange stakes out the area and intercepts the criminals at a dead man's home, leading to a confrontation. The story culminates in a comedic sequence at an amusement park or carnival where characters encounter accidents involving baseballs, an airplane ride, and various physical mishaps, with one character attempting to sell the ride at a loss.
