Those Annoying Post Bros. #18
"Posticide II The Payoff" marks a pivotal moment in the saga of the Post Bros., as Mightiest Ron's escalating violence reaches a breaking point. Written and illustrated entirely by Matt Howarth, this 1990 issue sees Ron's destructive impulses spiral further after he eliminates both a gang of egg-stealers and Fire-Finger Freddy, only to be hailed as a hero for dispatching a monstrous threat on a distant planet. Cover by Matt Howarth, the story sets the stage for a desperate countermove by C-3, unaware that the cost of his plan may be far greater than he imagined.

Mightiest Ron becomes bored and looks around for some crime. Finding Fire-Finger Freddy bringing down a gang of egg-stealers, he kills them all, even Freddy. Later, as Russ tells Ron to cool it, the call comes in for Mightiest Ron to stop a monster on a nearby planet. After killing it by going in through its eye and destroying its brain, Ron is greeted by throngs of adoring fans. Dismayed by the turn of events, C-3 sets a trap that will end the Post Bros. tyranny. Unfortunately, he is greeted with news that the entire spiral arm of the galaxy containing his home has been destroyed by Ron.
