Thor #17
In "L'Homme Absorbant - 1e partie : renaissance," Valkyrie arrives at Avengers HQ with a mission: rally Wasp and the Scarlet Witch into her all-female team, the Lady Liberators. With the male Avengers distracted at Tom Fagan's Halloween parade, the Masters of Evil strike — only to be swiftly dismantled by the Lady Liberators, who prove their strength in a shocking turn. But when Valkyrie’s true identity is revealed as the Enchantress, the battle for control turns personal, igniting a fierce gender war that leaves no side unchallenged. Written by Roy Thomas and brought to life with dynamic art by John Buscema and Tom Palmer, this 1982 French edition (5 FRF) features a cover by Jack Kirby and Vince Colletta.
In "L'Homme Absorbant - 1e partie : renaissance," the Absorbing Man returns to Earth with a mind twisted by Loki’s whispers, setting his sights on Thor. After overpowering Sif and Hildegarde, he faces Thor in a brutal clash before fleeing to the home of Tom Fagan, where Loki’s influence deepens.
In "2e partie : le glaive de feu," Thor faces off against the Absorbing Man and then Loki in a clash that spills into a storm-lashed battlefield. With Sif's help, Karnilla agrees to aid Thor in exchange for a quest, and as thunder rolls across the sky, Loki is blinded by the storm and sent tumbling from a cliff’s edge.
