The Witching Hour #67
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDC's long-running horror anthology reaches issue #67 with a memorably macabre cover by Ernie Chan (pencils) and Vince Colletta (inks): a wide-eyed bride in a white gown and veil clutches her bouquet as she stands beside a pallid, tuxedoed groom who has clearly stepped out of a coffin, while a cackling witch lurks to one side and a dark-robed officiant intones, "…I now pronounce you man and — WIDOW!" The tagline "It's Midnight…" and the story title "Those Whom Satan Hath Joined…" promise the kind of deliciously grim twist that made The Witching Hour a staple of 1970s DC horror. At just 30 cents, this January 1976 issue is a fine example of the era's wonderfully unsettling anthology covers.
