Wild Bill Pecos confronts outlaw Ben Slade and his gang as they attempt to escape across the state border following a shooting at a hotel. When Slade's men reach the peaceful town of Peaceville, the townspeople refuse them refuge due to their pacifist beliefs and opposition to firearms. Wild Bill pursues the outlaws across the plains and, along with his partner Nuggets Nugent, battles Slade's gang in a climactic showdown where a boulder is used to stop a wagon train and crush the killers.
