Wild Bill Pecos and his weary companion discover an abandoned settlement that harbors a dangerous secret—a renegade white man and a band of Indians are secretly mining silver to trade for guns, using fear and superstition to keep outsiders away. When Bill refuses to heed a warning from a local Indian and stumbles upon their operation, he must outwit both the conspirators and a larger war party closing in on the ghost town to protect the scheme.
