The third chapter of "Leviathan" arrives in this March 2011 issue of Vertigo's The Unwritten, with a cover by Yuko Shimizu that places a determined young man — armed with a long harpoon-like weapon — amid the towering rigging and tattered sails of an old sailing vessel, a dark, monstrous shape lurking ominously within the ropes behind him. The atmosphere is tense and seafaring, blending adventure with a distinctly literary unease that the series does so well.
