The Stand: Soul Survivors #5
The fifth and final chapter of Soul Survivors brings Stephen King's post-apocalyptic saga to a harrowing close with a cover by Lee Bermejo that pulls no punches — a blood-drenched man dominates the foreground, his outstretched hands reaching toward the viewer, while a man and a horrified woman look on from behind. It's a visceral, intimate image that captures the desperate human cost at the heart of King's world, rendered with Bermejo's characteristically photorealistic intensity. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and artist Mike Perkins, with colors by Laura Martin, wrap up this five-issue arc in what looks to be an unflinching conclusion.
