Will Eisner's masked hero finds himself badly outnumbered on a crumbling waterfront dock in this October 2009 installment, cover art by Gene Ha. The Spirit squares off against a hulking, wild-haired brute swinging a club while knife-wielding figures close in from behind — and if that weren't enough, a pit of snapping alligators waits hungrily below the rotting planks. "The Celtic Stone, Part Two" promises the kind of pulpy, hard-boiled atmosphere that makes this series such a pleasure, with Mike Ploog handling both writing and interior art alongside inker Dan Green.
