The Spectre #55
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeJohn Ostrander and Tom Mandrake's long-running Spectre series reaches its 55th issue with a cover by Gene Ha that's equal parts eerie and cinematic: a massive, green-gloved hand reaches through a darkened doorway toward a bald, terrified man caught mid-recoil, his expression pure dread as he scrambles to escape whatever looms just out of frame. The composition is masterfully unsettling — the Spectre's presence implied almost entirely through that single outstretched arm, making the horror feel inescapable. Part four of "The Haunting of Jim Corrigan," subtitled "Proven Guilty," promises the kind of morally charged supernatural storytelling this creative team does so well.
