The Spectacular Spider-Man #2
From January 1977, this second issue of Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man throws our wall-crawler headlong into a chaotic urban brawl, as the cover — penciled by Al Milgrom and inked by Frank Giacoia — shows Spider-Man caught between the red-clad Tarantula on one side and the bare-chested, leopard-skin-clad Kraven the Hunter on the other, a snarling big cat leaping alongside him while panicked bystanders look on from below. The bold tagline "Kraven Is the Hunter!" leaves no doubt about who's calling the shots in this confrontation. Gerry Conway's writing paired with Sal Buscema and Mike Esposito's interior art makes this a thoroughly satisfying chapter in Spidey's Bronze Age adventures.
