The Shroud #3

Issue three of The Shroud's 1994 Marvel limited series pits the dark, caped hero against a fierce bald female swordswielder — identified by the cover banner as Kali, whose mission is kill — their blades clashing in a shower of sparks against a shadowy urban backdrop. The subtitle "Goddess of Death" sets a suitably dangerous tone for this mid-series confrontation, rendered with sharp, dynamic energy by cover penciler M. C. Wyman and inkers Malcolm Jones III and Tim Tuohy. If you've been following the "Deadly Past" storyline, this cover alone makes a compelling case for picking up Part 3.
