The Sensational Spider-Man #14

This March 1997 issue brings together a genuinely fun roster — Spider-Man tangling with a heavily armored villain in the foreground, Ka-Zar wrestling bare-handed with a massive dinosaur in the jungle above them, and the Incredible Hulk glowering from an inset portrait, all promising a wild ride subtitled "Trouble in Paradise." The cover by penciler Mike Wieringo and inker Dan Green is a full-throttle composition that makes the most of the Savage Land setting, packing three Marvel heavy-hitters into one eye-catching scene. Writer Todd DeZago and artist Mike Wieringo were clearly having a great time in 1997, and this second chapter of the "Deluge" arc looks like exactly the kind of action-packed team-up that rewards picking it up.
