The Savage Sword of Conan #235
In "A Rage of Goblins (Daughter of Raktavashi - part 2)," Conan follows the trail of the Aquilonians Ormon and Pembrok to the remote city of the Khirgiz monks, where he reunites with Nafertari—now known as Zabibi, a woman revered as the daughter of the god Raktavashi. As Ormon and Pembrok seize her for a bounty, Conan must face both the high priest Yogok’s deadly ritual and the sudden arrival of the mountain’s ancient trolls, who recognize her divine lineage. Written by Roy Thomas and illustrated with powerful detail by John Buscema, with lettering by Jim Novak, this issue blends myth, betrayal, and ancient fury. The cover, a striking piece by Rudy Nebres, captures the moment’s raw intensity.

Conan tracks the Aquilonians Ormon and Pembrok to the city of the Khirgiz monks, where he finds an old friend, the former slave girl Nafertari who under the name Zabibi has returned home to be worshipped as the daughter of the god Raktavashi. Ormon and Pembrok kidnap her in order to cash in on the reward posted for her safe recovery by her lover Jungir Khan of Zamboula. When Conan kills the Aquilonians, the high priest Yogok tries to sacrifice her to Raktavashi. The trolls of the mountain intervene, set her free and pay tribute to her as the daughter of a god.
