Issue thirteen of Rick Remender and André Lima Araújo's The Sacrificers arrives with a cover that commands attention: a massively built, bird-headed figure rises from a pool of smoldering lava, wrists bound with rope, glowing eyes burning with fierce determination as smoke pillars curl into the darkness around him. Dave McCaig's color work bathes the scene in deep oranges and blacks, giving the whole image a hellish, ceremonial weight that fits the series' mythological tone perfectly.
