The Ray #2

The second chapter of this six-issue DC miniseries puts the Ray front and center — literally blazing with light energy as he squares off against a swarm of massive flying monster stingrays circling a glass-and-steel skyscraper, with San Diego itself declared under siege. Jamal Igle's cover crackles with kinetic energy, the luminous hero's outstretched blast cutting through the encroaching creatures' serrated fins and grasping claws. Writers Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti are clearly swinging big with this one, pitting their light-powered hero against a threat that's as visually wild as it sounds.
