The Punisher: War Zone #14
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this April 1993 issue delivers one of the more quietly unsettling images in the series: Frank Castle stands in a suburban front yard — rake and hedge clippers in hand, wheelbarrow nearby — looking less like a vigilante and more like a dangerously coiled neighbor doing yard work. A bold sign above him corrects the date from November 23, 1963 to February 23, 1993, a provocative juxtaposition that hints at the kind of storytelling ambition running through "My Two Dads, Part 3 of 5." Mike McKone's pencils, inked by Mark McKenna and Mick Gray, give the scene a deliberately mundane tension that makes Castle's barely-contained intensity all the more striking.
