The Masters of the Universe are losing their war against Skeletor, the Snake Men, and the Evil Horde, having been driven underground after several losses. In hopes of uncovering missing knowledge that would lead them to victory, Teela, the new Sorceress, sends He-Man into the past. Skeletor follows him, and both encounter the Snake Men there.
