Issue eight of DC's ambitious weekly series delivers a cover by Ryan Sook that's genuinely unsettling: a battle-damaged cybernetic figure — half skull exposed, glowing yellow eye intact — rises from blood-red waters against a dramatic purple twilight, jagged rock formations looming behind him as birds scatter into the haze. The image captures the series' tone perfectly, mixing body-horror detail with an almost painterly atmosphere.
