The New 52: Futures End #10
Four figures peer downward from the edges of the cover — a dark-armored Batman, a pale bandaged figure with glowing yellow eyes, a woman in sleek black gear, and a man whose face bears striking tiger-stripe markings — all converging on a single glowing point at the center of an intricate holographic circuit diagram. Ryan Sook's cover composition is striking, using the bird's-eye perspective and that web of luminous orange circuitry to create a real sense of tension and shared focus among this unlikely gathering. With Azzarello, Lemire, Jurgens, and Giffen collaborating on the writing and Lopresti and Thibert handling interior art, this September 2014 installment of DC's ambitious weekly series promises plenty of moving pieces in its sprawling vision of a troubled future.
