“With No Hint of Malice”

Gail Simone and Freddie Williams II bring DC's New 52 street-level team back for a second round, with Amanda Conner's cover capturing the Movement cornered and ready to fight — a winged, gun-wielding hero looms from above while a red-clad fighter lunges forward, a shirtless figure sprays graffiti behind them, and two larger, eerily blue-eyed figures close in from the foreground, all framed by the team's circular symbol painted on a crumbling brick wall. The tagline "Nowhere to Run… Nowhere to Hide!" sets an urgent, backed-into-a-corner tone that suits this scrappy group of outsiders perfectly. If you were drawn in by issue one's premise of a team fighting for the forgotten, this August 2013 installment looks to raise the stakes considerably.
