The Mighty Crusaders #2
The second chapter of this 2010 DC miniseries sets a fittingly turbulent tone with a cover by Stanley "Artgerm" Lau depicting a hero in a bold yellow-and-black armored suit kneeling at the foreground amid flames, while a full team of costumed fighters — including a figure in pink, a winged hero, and others in dark tactical gear — clash against swarming enemies through a backdrop of smoke and rubble. The chaos feels carefully orchestrated, every corner of the image packed with motion yet still readable at a glance. With writers Eric S. Trautmann and Brandon Jerwa alongside artists Julian Lopez and Carlos Rodríguez bringing the story "Wreckage" to life inside, this is a team-superhero book with genuine scope and energy.

But when the Crusaders appear to help any of the victims of the attack, they are delayed by robots bearing the dead bodies of the people caught in the blast as well as three magic users. During the melee, Jack Latham is replaced by a Durlan.
